Wholesalers Showcase

The Wholesalers Showcase is a place where importers, distributors, and wholesalers of craft-related products can showcase their specialty products to dealers within South Africa without fear of their competition viewing same.

How does it work?

The wholesaler’s products are displayed in exactly the same way as the hobby shops, but behind a secure wall that can only be accessed by registered dealers approved by the wholesaler himself.

The dealer that wants access to a particular wholesaler’s showcase will register and his information is submitted to the wholesaler’s administrator. The administrator authorizes the user and allocates the new user to a Security Role. Each security role can have a different discount percentage applicable per product. This authorization of the user results in a notification emailed to the user’s valid email address containing his username, password, and a verification code which the user uses to log on the wholesaler’s showcase.

Now the dealer has access to the specialized products and specific pricing applicable, and can proceed to select and enquire/order products from the wholesaler.

The wholesaler can choose between acceptance of credit cards, or an open account ordering system.

The same set of products can be displayed to the hobby enthusiast in the regular Hobby Showcase, but at Recommended Retail Prices, and the wholesaler will, at his discretion, have to forward any enquiries or orders to the closest or relevant dealer. This way, the wholesaler’s specialty products can still enjoy the limelight of the open showcase without threatening exclusive wholesale operations.
